Photo Novilab is an highly customizable program written in PHP that lets you create photo galleries on your Web site simply by uploading the images. It creates a thumbnail gallery and has the capability to insert a button to send the photo link by email. It also features the ability to view how many times a picture has been viewed.

In most cases, I would not even CONSIDER downloading or installing a project without either seeing (a) a screenshot (preferrably multiple screenshots), or (b) a live demo [better (if possible)]. I might be be in the minority here, but I think this is probably true for other people in most cases also.
