Screenshot About:
GNUMP3d is a small, portable, and robust server for streaming MP3s, OGGs, and other audio files. It presents a simple and attractive interface to Web browsers, which allows you to navigate through your music collection. Individual files may be streamed, as can whole directory trees. Other features include the ability to see your most popular tracks, and to search your collection for songs.

[»] Perfect and easy!
by penguinroar - Jun 28th 2008 14:00:20

I recently bought a couple of Linux eee UMPC and i wanted to be able to watch movies and listen to music without storing any media on the eee's. Gnump3d was the easiest solution i have seen so far. It was very easy to setup and i really like the web interface.

Its very nice that it can generate the file lists by itself. Whatever i put into my media directory is imediately avaliable for the clients.

Good job guys, and hey, thanks!

While savannah.gnu.org is recovering from the recent break-in, Steve has kindly made a download of GNUMP3d available at his site:

[»] gnump3d in Debian GNU/Linux
by Steve Kemp - Jun 12th 2002 03:59:42

GNUMP3d is now part of Debian GNU/Linux!

If you're running the unstable version of Debian you may install it with a simple 'apt-get install gnump3d'.

(Just read the FAQ to see if there are any problems at the moment.. ;)
